Pelham
Children's
Center

We are a community-based non-profit center providing a warm, caring and friendly atmosphere. We view each child as an individual and help them adapt that individuality to engage in a meaningful way with their classmates and teachers.

Preschool at
Pelham Children's Center

The teaching team in each classroom works to create and environment and develop a curriculum that takes into account the interests and needs of the individual children in the group and of the group as a whole. Children participate, to the extent of their abilities, in caring for the classroom and its materials.

Child-Centric Programs

Our discipline policies focus on teaching appropriate behavior and developing friendly relationships with classmates and staff. Our overall goal is to have children leave the center feeling capable and ready to tackle the next steps in their development.

After School at
Hutchinson Elementary

The environment of the program is a community. The children participate in every aspect of the program in order to develop a sense of belonging and ownership within the program. There are mixed-age grouping in which the children can assist and learn from each other.

  AFTER SCHOOL 2025-2026

The Pelham Children’s Center is pleased to announce the extension of our School-Age Childcare before and after-school programs. After the great success of the program at the Hutchinson School, we will now offer the before and after-school programs at Prospect Hill Elementary and Colonial Elementary starting at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. The after-care program runs from the end of the school day until 6 p.m., including half days. The program's environment is that of the community; we provide homework assistance, special activities, and snacks.

Registration will start at 8 pm on Monday, June 2. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students register for the school they attend, as we will not be busing the children to different schools. Options for attending for one day to five days will be available based on your family's needs. We will send out further communication and details as June 2 approaches, including a link to the registration website.
